Things to do in Cornwall – April 2018


Eureka Escape
Open 11.30am – 10pm Monday to Thursday and 10am – 10pm Friday to Sunday – must book in advance
Prices start at £40 for two people (more people = more discount!)
We checked out Eureka Escape Room in Truro this week – we tried the Death By Prescription room – was a challenge and really got us thinking. It was great fun, solving puzzles and combinations to get us out the other side; We even beat the clock – just! Highly recommended for a bit of fun.

Wadebridge Good Food & Craft Day
2nd April 2018
10am till 4pm
This is their 3rd year! Located in the centre of the town, you’ll find artisan food producers offering tasty food, and fab local crafts. Plus there will be music too.

Vegan Spring Festival
7th April 2018
11am till 5pm
FREE entry – held at Mount Pleasant Ecological Park in Porthtowan.
Lots to see, tasty food, plus there will be talks, workshops, children’s activities and an acoustic open mike! Doggy friendly too :

St Ives Gin & Prosecco Festival
21st April 2018
7pm till 11pm – located at the Guildhall in St Ives
Tickets are £13 + booking fee pp
Boutique type event – come and enjoy artisan gin and prosecco, garden party style!
There will be live music from Scarlet Swing.
Plus you get a free branded gin glass and pen to take home!

Porthleven Food Festival
20th April 2018 – 22nd April 2018
10am till 12am
Located in Porthleven harbour – with over 90 food and craft stalls there is plenty to see, do and taste!
There is a Chef’s Theatre running on both days, and award-winning chefs will make appearances at the festival.

Tregothnan – Charity Garden Opening
21st and 22nd April 2018
Tickets are £10 pp – all proceeds go to charity (main charity this year is Merlin MS Centre)
10am till 5pm – held at the Tregothnan Estate
This is the only time to view the gardens, as they’re not normally open to the public.
We went last year and we were impressed! The gardens are beautiful, lots of different plants and colours. They have a few different food options – we had a very tasty burger, made fresh!

Ponsanooth Brewing Collective Beer Festival
27th till 29th April 2018

Come celebrate with them at the Beer Festival – you’ll have 12 cask ales plus ciders to choose from, and tasty food too (available at lunch time and evening)

Camborne Trevithick Day
28th April 2018
10am till 5pm
This event celebrates the engineering and mining history of the Camborne area, and is dedicated to Richard Trevithick, the inventor of Road and Railway Locomotives.
A great day to experience – plenty of stalls, you’ll see traditional dance acts, plus ‘The Steam Parade’ showcasing some of the largest variety of steam engines, in an urban environment, in the world.
